At justteachers, our commitment to supporting educators goes far beyond connecting them with job opportunities. We are dedicated to fostering the continuous growth and development of our candidates. in October 2023, we organized two fully-funded De-Escalation workshops at locations in Bradford & Leeds for our Yorkshire-based registered candidates. These workshops were designed to equip our candidates with effective strategies and tools for managing conflicts and challenging situations that may arise in the classroom.
The workshop was expertly led by Robyn Johnstone, CEO of Education Placement Group, and EPG’s Operational Support Coach, Ruth Bell. Together, they delved into crucial topics, including the identification of triggers that can lead to conflicts and the implementation of appropriate responses. Through group activities, educators had the chance to explore real-life examples and gain practical insight into de-escalation techniques.
Participants quickly recognised the value of early trigger recognition, enabling them to respond proactively rather than reactively in challenging situations.
