About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a full-time SEN Teacher specialising in Complex Needs to join a dedicated specialist school in November 2026 in the Stratford-upon-Avon area on a long-term basis.

The school provides a highly supportive and inclusive environment for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and additional physical, sensory or communication needs. Its child-centred ethos focuses on dignity, personalised learning, communication and celebrating every achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons based on individual abilities, EHCP outcomes and developmental targets.
Use sensory learning, practical activities, intensive interaction and alternative communication methods where appropriate.
Support the development of communication, independence, sensory awareness and functional life skills.
Work closely with teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and other specialists.
Assess and record small-step progress, adapting learning activities to meet pupils’ changing needs.
Create a safe, accessible and stimulating classroom environment.

Pre-requisites:

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching pupils with complex, severe or profound learning difficulties.
Understanding of personalised learning, sensory approaches and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
Ability to plan for learners working significantly below age-related expectations.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals.
A calm, patient and flexible approach to supporting pupils’ physical, sensory and communication needs.
