About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a full-time Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist SEN school in the Kettering area, starting as soon as possible, on a long-term basis.

The school is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils with additional needs are supported through personalised learning, positive relationships and a strong focus on developing communication, confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs across classroom activities and individual learning sessions.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their learning targets.
  • Support pupils with autism, learning disabilities, communication difficulties and other additional needs.

Pre-requisites:

  • A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • An understanding of additional learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties and learning disabilities.
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with varying needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other professionals.
