About the role:
A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This rewarding role involves supporting students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and may have experienced significant barriers to learning. You will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve positive educational outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external professionals to provide both academic and emotional support. This position is ideally suited to someone with strong behaviour management skills who can develop positive relationships with young people and provide the consistency, structure, and encouragement they need to succeed within education.
