A primary school in Blackburn is seeking a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work with pupils who require additional support in managing their behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

About the role: This rewarding role involves helping children overcome barriers to learning and successfully engage with school life.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with behavioural needs.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and strategies.
  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social skills development.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENDCo, and pastoral staff.

 

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience working with children with behavioural or SEMH needs.
  • Experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
