About the Role:
Justteachers is recruiting a passionate and experienced A Level Humanities Teacher for a long-term supply role in a secondary school in Halifax, starting in September. This high-performing school has a strong sixth form provision and is committed to academic excellence, encouraging students to develop analytical thinking, independent learning skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging A Level Humanities lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress in line with departmental expectations.
• Prepare students for A Level examinations and coursework requirements.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes achievement and independence.
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and wider school initiatives.
Pre-requisites:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Humanities subjects at A Level.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
