About the role:

Justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in King’s Lynn that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team on a 0.6 FTE basis for a one-year fixed-term contract starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed teacher who is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring children to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating an inclusive learning environment, and supporting pupils to make excellent progress both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel valued and motivated to learn.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress, using assessment information to inform future planning.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND where appropriate.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development through positive relationships and high-quality pastoral care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver an engaging and inspiring curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, training, and school events where appropriate.
  • Work alongside support staff and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
  • Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all pupils at all times.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to providing high-quality education for every child.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a UK primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Two recent education-based references.
