About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Salford on a full-time basis.. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development while helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom support and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver learning support to individuals and small groups of pupils.
  • Work alongside teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.
  • Support attendance, engagement and overall wellbeing.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral support across the school.
  • Provide classroom cover where required in line with HLTA responsibilities.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
  • Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

 

 

 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional social, emotional or behavioural needs.

 

 

  • Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive practice.

 

 

  • Well-organised, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Caring, patient and committed to supporting children’s success.
