We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS9 area of Leeds from September 2026. This full-time role offers an ongoing opportunity, with a competitive daily rate of £95–£105, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils across Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help children with additional needs access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for KS2 pupils with SEND needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities and resources to meet individual requirements.
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in lessons.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and social development.
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to implement personalised support plans.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school setting.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Confidence working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
