About the Role:
Justteachers is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role in a primary school in Halifax, starting in September. This friendly and inclusive school is committed to ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to flourish academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist in implementing individual education and support plans.
• Support pupils’ emotional, social and academic development.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
Pre-requisites:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
