About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full time, long-term position starting in September 2026 at a friendly primary school in the Kings Lynn area.

The school prides itself on providing a supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their best. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school while helping to raise attainment and pupil confidence.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
  • Provide targeted intervention support to individuals and small groups across KS1 and KS2
  • Assist teachers in monitoring pupil progress and identifying next steps in learning
  • Adapt learning resources to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Pre-requisites:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification and experience
  • Two education or school based references
  • Recent experience working within a UK primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum across KS1 and KS2
  • Experience delivering interventions and covering whole-class lessons
