A primary school in Accrington is looking for a committed Year 1 Teacher to work mornings only.

About the role: The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, with a strong focus on phonics, early reading, and numeracy.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver engaging morning lessons across the Year 1 curriculum.
  • Support pupil progress in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Prepare pupils for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

 

 

Pre-requisites:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within EYFS or KS1.
  • Strong knowledge of phonics and early literacy development.
