A vibrant primary school in Burnley is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class. The role will be full time, for the full academic year, from September 2026.

About the role: The role involves working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive high-quality support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the delivery of lessons across the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Support pupils with differing abilities and learning needs.

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience supporting children within KS2.
  • Knowledge of intervention programmes and classroom support strategies.
