About the role:

Justteachers are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Norwich. This role is full time and will be on a long term supply basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and other additional learning requirements.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs.

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
  • Two education or school based references.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant qualification are advantageous but not essential.
