About the role:

Justteachers are working with a Bradford based secondary school to appoint an Inclusion Support Work to work on a full and long-term basis from September 2026.

The school is part of a large Trust and is known for its strong focus on values such as cooperation, fairness, and community involvement, reflecting the co‑operative ethos. The Trust aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment, with an emphasis on both academic achievement and personal development, helping students build confidence, responsibility, and respect for others.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide care, guidance and support to meet the pastoral needs of targeted students
  • Be part of the team which develops interventions to meet the needs of individual students and groups of students
  • Provide behaviour support around the Academy and local community before, during and at the end of the school day
  • Support the reintegration of students back into mainstream lessons, working with teaching colleagues
  • Respond to on-call as part of the team, under the direction of the Inclusion and Intervention Leader
  • Provide in class support for students with behaviour issues and mentor target students

Pre-requisites:

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience working with young people of secondary age
  • Knowledge and experience of Child Protection procedures
  • Knowledge and experience of strategies for engaging disaffected students
  • Ability to forge relationships with challenging students
  • Two school or youth-based references
