We are seeking an enthusiastic KS2 SEND Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bolton. The successful candidate will be committed to providing a nurturing and positive learning environment, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs, and working closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies. Whether you are an experienced SEND practitioner or a teacher looking to further develop your SEND expertise, this role offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team focused on achieving the best outcomes for pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil achievement, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans and targeted interventions to support pupil development.

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND strategies and best practices.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
