About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bolton to cover on a long-term basis. The full-time role is due to start in September 2026 and expected to last until the end of the academic year.

The setting provides key support to primary-aged students with behavioural needs, with a focus on re-integrating them into their mainstream setting. They focus on building confidence, resilience, and academic skills, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Foster positive relationships and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create a holistic support network.
  • Implement strategies to support students’ SEMH needs and encourage personal growth.
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour, creating a safe and inspiring classroom environment.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching children with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Two education or school-based references.
