About the Role:

justteachers is recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of RE and Ethics to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bradford area from September. This long-term supply role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic classroom practitioner who can inspire students to explore religious, philosophical and ethical ideas with confidence, respect and curiosity.

The successful teacher will deliver engaging RE and Ethics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the ability to support wider humanities teaching considered an advantage. You will be joining a supportive department with a strong focus on inclusive learning, positive relationships and high standards of behaviour and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach RE and Ethics to secondary pupils, primarily across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that encourage discussion, reflection and critical thinking.
  • Promote respect, tolerance and understanding of a range of beliefs, cultures and viewpoints.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation and learning.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education, Ethics or a related humanities subject in a secondary setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make lessons accessible and engaging.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A flexible, professional and proactive approach to long-term supply work.
