About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for a vibrant Teacher of Performing Arts to join a Secondary School in Bradford to start in September 2026. This a full-time role until December in first instance.

The Performing Arts department is at the heart of school life, with regular productions, concerts, and community showcases. The school believes the arts are essential in developing confident, creative, and resilient young people, and we are proud of our reputation for excellence in drama, dance, and music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in drama, dance, and/or music.
  • Inspire students to develop performance skills, confidence, and appreciation of the arts.
  • Direct and support school productions, concerts, and showcases.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and BTEC.
  • Contribute to extracurricular clubs, workshops, and community outreach projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum projects.
  • Support the school’s vision of inclusivity and creativity across all subjects.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong academic background in Performing Arts or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to teach Performing Arts across a range of abilities and age groups
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Two school-based references
