About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to support a high‑performing secondary school in Bradford for the full academic year starting September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an RS specialist who is passionate about delivering engaging, thought‑provoking lessons and supporting students’ understanding of religion, ethics and philosophy.

The school is looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high‑quality teaching.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver high‑quality RS lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
  • Promote critical thinking and respectful discussion
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the Humanities department to support curriculum development
  • Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, enrichment or pastoral support where required

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies
  • Experience teaching RS in a secondary school setting (desirable)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
