About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher or Level 2+ qualified practitioner to support a welcoming primary school in Shipley as a Teaching Assistant within their onsite nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and looking for a long‑term role that will become permanent for the right person.

The school is looking for someone who can bring warmth, creativity and consistency to their nursery team, supporting children aged 3–4 in a nurturing, play‑based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursery support: Assist with daily routines, learning activities and child‑led play.
  • Early Years development: Support children’s social, emotional and academic development.
  • Classroom assistance: Work alongside the class teacher to deliver high‑quality early years provision.
  • Safeguarding: Maintain a safe, caring environment and follow school safeguarding procedures.
  • Behaviour support: Promote positive behaviour and model nurturing interactions.
  • Team collaboration: Work effectively with staff, parents and external professionals.

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Level 2 qualification or higher in childcare/education (essential).
  • Experience in EYFS or nursery settings is highly desirable.
  • A passion for supporting early learning and child development.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm and a positive approach to teamwork.
  • Commitment to long‑term work and professional growth.
