About the role

We are recruiting a dedicated Year 4 Teacher for a warm and welcoming primary school in Sheffield, starting in September on a full‑time temporary contract until Christmas. This long‑term role sits within a school known for its inclusive ethos, strong community relationships and a commitment to providing a supportive, engaging learning environment where children feel valued and inspired.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching across the Year 4 curriculum
  • Plan and prepare lessons that support progress and meet individual learning needs
  • Assess, record and report pupil achievement in line with school policies
  • Create a positive and well‑managed classroom that promotes behaviour for learning
  • Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupils’ academic and personal development

Pre‑requisites

  • Relevant teaching qualifications such as QTS or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Two education or school‑based references
  • A current enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice and supporting pupils of all abilities
