About the role:

Justteachers are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Keighley. This full‑time role begins in September and is intended to become permanent for the right person who demonstrates strong teamwork, initiative, and a passion for helping children succeed.

You will work across the school, supporting pupils in different year groups, assisting teachers with high‑quality learning delivery, and helping to create a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom support — Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Small‑group interventions — Lead or support targeted groups to boost progress in reading, writing, maths, and social skills.
  • Whole‑school support — Provide flexible support across classes depending on need.
  • Behaviour and wellbeing support — Promote positive behaviour and help pupils regulate emotions.
  • Resource preparation — Assist with preparing learning materials and maintaining an organised classroom environment.
  • Safeguarding awareness — Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and confidentiality.

 

 

 

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum and how to scaffold learning effectively.
  • Ability to build warm, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing manner.
