About the role:

Justteachers are looking for a committed and compassionate KS2 SEND Teacher to support pupils with additional needs in a specialist or alternative provision setting. This role involves working with Key Stage 2 students who are currently working at an EYFS or Key Stage 1 level, requiring a highly adaptive and nurturing teaching approach. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering personalised learning that supports both academic and emotional development.

You will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, where pupils feel supported and encouraged to make progress at their own pace. Experience working with SEND students at a lower developmental level is essential, as is the ability to differentiate effectively and implement creative teaching strategies. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to KS2 pupils working at EYFS/KS1 levels
  • Support students with a range of SEND needs, adapting teaching strategies to suit individual requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and record student progress against personalised learning targets
  • Create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those operating at EYFS or KS1 levels
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive education practices
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
