About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Bradford area on a long-term basis.
This full-time position is due to start in September, with shortlisting currently underway. The school is committed to creating a structured, inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) can develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with autism to access learning and participate in daily classroom routines
• Implementing personalised strategies, visual supports and communication systems (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
• Promoting social interaction, independence and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to provide a consistent support approach
