About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools for a role starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire a love of music and support students in developing their musical knowledge, performance skills, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ performance, composition, and listening skills.
  • Prepare students for practical and written assessments where applicable.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities, including ensembles, choirs, concerts, and school productions.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student achievement.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical musical ability.
  • Experience using music technology and digital resources within teaching.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inspiring students and promoting a love of music.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
