Justteachers is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sapcote from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with children and is passionate about supporting learning, development and wellbeing within a nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils within the classroom and during learning activities.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning.
  • Support pupils with varying educational needs.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress where appropriate.
  • Support pupils during breaktimes, educational visits and school activities.

Pre-requisites:

  • Have experience working with children within a school, childcare or youth setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, nurturing and adaptable.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s education.
  • Provide references covering recent employment history.
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
