Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA with a strong background in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wakefield. This full-time role is to start in September.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with teachers and SENDCo to support pupils with additional needs
• Deliver targeted interventions to support learning and development
• Assist with planning and delivering lessons, covering classes when required
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
• Implement EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) strategies to support pupil progress
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies
Pre-requisites:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school setting
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
• Availability to start after Easter and commit until at least July (with potential for a permanent role in September)
