About the role:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic part-time Teacher of Drama and Music to join a supportive secondary school on the outskirts of Leeds from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate performing arts specialist who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire confidence and creativity, and contribute positively to a vibrant arts curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Drama and Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Plan creative, well-structured lessons that encourage confidence, performance, musical understanding and self-expression.
  • Support students in developing practical skills, teamwork, communication and creative thinking.
  • Assess progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the wider performing arts department, including clubs, showcases, productions or enrichment activities where required.

Pre-requisites:

  • UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama, Music or Performing Arts in a secondary school setting.
  • Anility to deliver creative and engaging lessons that support students of mixed abilities.
  • Brings strong classroom management, organisation and communication skills.
  • Is confident supporting practical performance work and encouraging student participation.
