About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Leamington Spa from September on a full time, long term basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in the classroom, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping to reduce barriers to learning and positively impact students throughout the school day.

You will be joining a collaborative and welcoming team within a school that has clear behaviour expectations and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the secondary curriculum, including tailored support for pupils with SEND.
• Work closely with individual students and small groups, including those with additional needs, to support access to learning and build confidence.
• Help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and supports the progress of all learners.
• Assist with behaviour management, daily classroom routines, and maintaining pupil engagement, including using strategies to support students with SEND.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing, progress, and individual learning plans.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting; experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and development.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
