About the role:

We are seeking a proactive and committed Business Studies Teacher to join a well-regarded and supportive secondary school in Leicester on a long-term, full-time supply basis starting in September 2026. This role is ideal for an engaging educator who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 depending on experience and specialism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Business Studies lessons, helping students develop commercial awareness and critical thinking skills while supporting strong academic progress within a collaborative and well-resourced department.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum

 

 

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5

 

 

  • Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively

 

 

  • Foster an engaging and positive learning environment

 

 

  • Support students in developing enterprise and analytical skills

 

 

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

 

 

  • Attend staff meetings, parents’ evenings, and CPD sessions

 

Pre-requisites:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

 

 

  • Degree in Business Studies, Economics, or a related subject or equivalent

 

 

  • Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (ECTs welcome)

 

 

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

 

 

  • Passionate about delivering engaging and relevant lessons

 

 

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
