About the role:

Secondary Maths Teacher – Huddersfield Full‑time – Long‑term – September 2026 Start – KS3 & KS4

You’ll be joining a vibrant and forward‑thinking secondary school in Huddersfield as a full‑time Maths Specialist from September 2026, teaching across KS3 and KS4 on a long‑term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a confident, inspiring educator to make a meaningful impact on student progress and mathematical confidence. The school is seeking someone who brings clarity, enthusiasm, and a strong classroom presence to every lesson.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high‑impact Maths lessons — Teach engaging, well‑structured lessons that build fluency and deepen understanding.
  • Support student progress — Assess, track, and report on attainment, using data to inform planning.
  • Maintain strong behaviour standards — Create a focused, respectful learning environment across KS3 and KS4.
  • Prepare learners for GCSE success — Provide targeted support and challenge to students of all abilities.
  • Contribute to departmental development — Work collaboratively on curriculum planning and resource creation.
  • Engage in wider school life — Attend meetings, CPD, and pastoral duties as required.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong experience teaching Secondary Maths at KS3 and KS4.
  • Confident classroom presence with excellent behaviour‑management skills.
  • Secure subject knowledge across the full secondary Maths curriculum.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and commitment to high standards.
  • Dedication to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
