About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Doncaster on a part-time, fixed-term maternity cover contract commencing on 3rd September 2026 and continuing until 16th April 2027. The role will involve teaching a Year 3 class on Mondays and Tuesdays and a Reception class on Wednesdays. This is a long-term supply position offering the opportunity to make a positive impact within a supportive and nurturing school environment.  Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to a Year 3 class on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Plan and teach age-appropriate learning activities for a Reception class on Wednesdays.
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and carers to support pupil development.

Pre-Requisites

  • Relevant teaching qualifications, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience of teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curricula.
  • Two education or school-based references.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
