About the role:

justteachers are working with a Sixth Form College in Leeds to recruit a dedicated and knowledgeable Teacher of Psychology to cover their A level cohort.  This is a part-time position and an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging lessons, inspire curiosity, and support students in developing a strong understanding of behaviour, cognition and research methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology A level lessons in line with the relevant curriculum and examination specifications.
  • Teach engaging topics such as social influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology and research methods.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, analyse evidence and develop independent thinking
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing clear feedback and targeted support to maximise achievement

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Psychology in a secondary school, sixth form or college setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make psychological theories and concepts accessible and engaging for students.
  • Experience teaching Psychology at KS5
