About the role:

We are currently recruiting a full-time Design Technology Teacher for a long-term supply position based in the Doncaster area, starting mid June 2026 and continuing into September 2026. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and progressive secondary school that places a strong emphasis on creativity, practical learning, and positive professional relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
    • Complete marking, assessment, and feedback in line with school policies and procedures
    • Maintain high standards of health and safety within workshops and practical learning spaces
    • Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
    • Work collaboratively with the Design Technology department and the wider school team

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
    • Demonstrable experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
    • Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum and health and safety requirements
    • Two recent education or school-based references
    • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
    • A full UK driving licence (advantageous)
