About the role:

At Justteachers, we are delighted to be working in close partnership with a welcoming, forward-thinking secondary school in Doncaster to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Computing Teacher for a long-term, full-time opportunity beginning in mid-June 2026 through to September 2026.

As a valued member of the Computing department, you will have the chance to inspire the next generation of digital thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators. You will deliver engaging and dynamic lessons that bring computing to life, encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity, and curiosity within technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons covering core computing concepts such as algorithms, computational thinking, and logical problem-solving
  • Teach programming with a strong emphasis on Python, while introducing students to a range of additional languages and technologies including Java, HTML, and CSS
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel empowered to learn independently and explore their digital potential
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals, preparing them for assessments and examinations while nurturing a genuine enthusiasm for computing and emerging technologies
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative department and wider school community committed to educational excellence

Pre-requisites:

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable educator who is eager to make a meaningful impact within the classroom.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computing, or a related subject area
  • A strong understanding of the UK Computing curriculum, particularly at GCSE level
  • Excellent programming knowledge, especially in Python, alongside familiarity with additional coding languages and digital tools
  • An engaging and flexible teaching style, with a genuine passion for technology and innovation in education
