About the role:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Bradford on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This role will run until the end of the current academic year. You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils through a crucial stage in their learning, including preparation for end-of-year assessments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Prepare students for Year 2 assessments and monitor progress effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
  • Contribute to the wider school community where required

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
  • An enhanced DBS check is essential (or willingness to obtain one)
  • 2 school based references
