A secondary school in the Wigan area is seeking General Cover Teachers to join their team on a flexible, ongoing basis.

About the role:

This role involves supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absences. You will deliver pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure students remain engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure students stay focused and complete assigned tasks

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confidence leading groups of students
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings
