About the role:

A thriving secondary school close to Brighouse is seeking a committed and inspiring Mathematics Teacher to join their team on a full‑time, long‑term basis. The school is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible, though there is full flexibility for a September 2026 start for the right candidate. You will be teaching KS4 Mathematics, helping students build confidence, deepen understanding and achieve strong outcomes in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high‑quality Maths lessons that stretch and support KS4 learners
  • Plan and assess effectively to ensure strong progress towards GCSE targets
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes resilience, curiosity and problem‑solving
  • Use data to inform teaching and adapt approaches to meet diverse learner needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Maths department and wider school community
  • Contribute to enrichment such as intervention sessions, clubs or revision programmes

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching Mathematics at KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain concepts clearly and creatively
  • Effective behaviour management rooted in consistency and respect
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
  • A proactive, reflective and resilient approach to teaching and professional development
