About the role:

Justteachers are delighted to be working with a welcoming and well resourced Primary school in Peterborough, who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced EYFS Teacher to join their team on a full time, long term supply basis, starting September.

This school places a strong emphasis on early development, structured routines, and creating a positive start to school life. The EYFS provision is well organised, with a focus on balancing play‑based learning with purposeful teaching, supported by a collaborative team and a leadership group that values creativity and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver a rich EYFS curriculum that supports learning through play and structured activities
  • Develop children’s communication, language, and early literacy skills
  • Deliver phonics sessions as part of the school’s early reading approach
  • Create an engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, using findings to shape next steps
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development

 

 

Pre-requisites:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience teaching within EYFS
  • Experience delivering phonics teaching
  • The ability to create engaging, age appropriate learning environments
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage an EYFS setting effectively
  • Two recent education‑based references
