About the role:

Justteachers are delighted to be working with a supportive and forward thinking Primary school in Peterborough, who are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their team on a full time, long term supply basis, starting September.

This school offers a vibrant Early Years setting where play, exploration, and structured learning come together to support children’s development. Staff work within a well resourced environment, with a strong focus on creating engaging learning experiences and building positive relationships with pupils and families.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS provision in line with the Early Years framework
  • Support children’s development in communication, early reading, writing, and numeracy
  • Create a stimulating and language‑rich learning environment
  • Use continuous provision and structured activities to support development
  • Observe, track, and record pupil progress using EYFS assessment approaches
  • Deliver phonics sessions where required to support early reading skills
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider EYFS team

 

 

Pre-requisites:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience teaching within EYFS
  • A strong understanding of early years development and the EYFS framework
  • Experience or confidence delivering phonics teaching
  • The ability to create engaging, play‑based learning opportunities
  • A nurturing approach combined with strong organisation and classroom management
  • Two recent education‑based references
