About the role:

A welcoming and well‑regarded Catholic primary school in Bradford is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full‑time maternity cover position running for the entire academic year.

The school is known for its strong community values, supportive leadership team, and nurturing environment rooted in Catholic ethos. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver high‑quality teaching, build positive relationships with pupils, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Track pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school
  • Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3
  • Strong classroom management and a warm, supportive approach
  • Ability to deliver high‑quality teaching and learning
  • Commitment to the full responsibilities of a class teacher
  • Willingness to support and respect the Catholic ethos of the school (you do not need to be Catholic to apply)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
