About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing specialist provision located within a Mainstream Primary School in Redditch, supporting students aged 4–11 with complex learning, emotional, and behavioural needs. This is a full-time, long-term role within a small, close-knit setting that provides individualised support and a calm, structured learning environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to be part of a team making a real difference in the lives of young people with high levels of need.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with complex SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons and creating accessible learning materials.
  • Support students in managing their emotions, behaviour, and social interactions using positive and consistent strategies.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.

Pre-requisites:

  • TA Qualification
  • A patient, calm, and adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for helping vulnerable learners.
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships and respond sensitively to individual needs.
  • Two professional references and willingness to undergo full safeguarding checks.
