About the role:

Justteachers are currently recruiting Inclusion Support Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Leeds. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to positively impact the lives of students with additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
  • Support students with emotional, behavioural, or social development
  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles and abilities
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals as required
  • Track and report student progress and engagement
  • Support students with personal care where necessary (if applicable)

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
