About the role:

justteachers are working with a supportive secondary school in outskirts of Leeds to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Health & Social Care to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging lessons and prepare students for further study and careers in the health and care sector.  This is a full time role expected to last until Christmas in the first instance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons in line with the curriculum or relevant vocational specifications (e.g. BTEC).
  • Teach topics such as human development, health and wellbeing, safeguarding, and care values.
  • Support students to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of the care sector.

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Health & Social Care or a related subject.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in health, wellbeing and care professions.
  • Experience delivering vocational qualifications (e.g. BTEC) is desirable.
  • The ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
  • Two education or school-based references
