About the role:

A well-established and inclusive secondary school in Bradford is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its thriving Science department starting in September 2026 or sooner if possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about science and dedicated to fostering academic excellence and curiosity in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science in line with the national curriculum to KS4
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and science enrichment programmes
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and respect
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and continuous improvement

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in one or more science disciplines
  • Has experience teaching in UK secondary schools or similar educational settings
  • Shows commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
  • Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Is enthusiastic about professional development and reflective practice
  • Two school-based references
