About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons, promoting health and fitness, and encouraging students to achieve their full potential both in and out of the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to a strong sporting culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Promote participation in extracurricular sports and school teams
  • Support and contribute to school sporting events, fixtures, and competitions
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary school level
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for sport, health, and student development
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
