About the role:

Justteachers are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Specialist to join a supportive school from based in Bradford from September 2026. This role is open to a qualified English Teacher or an experienced Cover Supervisor with a strong background in English, who is confident delivering engaging lessons and supporting student progress.

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone passionate about English language and literature, with the ability to inspire and motivate students across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons (for qualified teachers) or lead pre-prepared lessons (for cover supervisors)

 

 

  • Support students in achieving strong progress in English Language and Literature

 

 

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

 

 

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners

 

 

  • Provide feedback to support student development

 

 

  • Engage and motivate students with creative and inclusive lesson delivery

 

 

  • Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school sta

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience as a Cover Supervisor
  • Strong subject knowledge in English (Language and Literature)
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire learners of varying abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Two professional references
