About the role:

Justteachers are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Bradford who are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join their Early Years team. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run until at least Christmas 2026, with the potential for further extension.

The school is looking for a practitioner who is passionate about early childhood development and can create a nurturing, engaging learning environment for young children.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Plan and deliver engaging play‑based activities that promote early learning and development.
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Observe, assess, and contribute to tracking children’s progress.
  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, EYFS team, and parents/carers.
  • Uphold safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.

Pre-requisites:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential).
  • Experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting.
  • A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
