About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Music to join our vibrant secondary school in Lincoln. The role is due commence September 2026 and will be a long-term supply role. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can inspire creativity, confidence, and a love of music in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Music lessons that motivate learners of all abilities
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality schemes of work aligned with curriculum requirements
  • Lead and support extracurricular music activities, ensembles, and performances
  • Contribute to whole‑school events, concerts, and productions
  • Assess, track, and support student progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the creative arts provision

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education
  • Ability to teach across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
  • Creativity, energy, and excellent communication skills
